Access to the Park

Does the park stay open in case of bad weather?
If weather conditions require it, WAVE ISLAND may close temporarily, partially, or completely. If a potential closure has been announced, no refunds will be possible should the park close.
Which days have the highest attendance at the park?
Generally, during school holidays, Thursdays and Sundays are the two busiest days at the park.

Where is WAVE ISLAND located?
WAVE ISLAND is located in Monteux at 663 Impasse de la Traverse du Ventoux, 84170 Monteux, just 10 minutes from the A7 motorway exit, Avignon Nord, in the heart of Provence!
Where can I store my belongings?
Lockers are available at the park entrance, but remember to bring your own padlock! If you forget, the park shop sells padlocks with anti-loss wristbands for €9. For those who have booked a private beach spot, code-operated lockers are provided for your valuables (excluding food and coolers). You can choose to keep your things with you in the park, but management accepts no responsibility in case of loss or theft.
Are pets allowed?
Only service animals for people with disabilities are admitted inside the park. They must be kept on a leash and remain under the owner's care. Access to attractions is not permitted for animals.
I have a disability, can I access the park?
The park is accessible to guests with disabilities, including wheelchair users! Water access areas are provided for people with reduced mobility at the Lagoon and Lac Tapahpié. Special rates for guests with disabilities are available; visit our prices page to find out more.
Until what age must a child be accompanied in the park?
Minors under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children with their parents are exempt from this! Minors remain under the responsibility of the accompanying adult, who must stay on-site. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult to purchase their entry ticket and access the park. They must remain under the constant responsibility and supervision of an accompanying adult. One accompanying adult is required for every 4 minors under 15. Inside the park, access to attractions may be refused to unaccompanied children under 7. Height and age checks will be conducted to ensure everyone's safety!
Can I leave the park and come back later?
Any temporary exit from the park must be reported to security. A dated wristband or stamp will be placed on the visitor's wrist, allowing for same-day re-entry. This system is strictly personal and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
Where should I park?
To access the parking lot closest to the park entrance, please head to parking P2 by entering the following address into your GPS: 663 Impasse de la Traverse du Ventoux 84170 Monteux. Parking lots are municipal, and hourly rates are set by the town of Monteux.
Do we need to book to visit the park?
Booking isn't mandatory but is highly recommended to make your entry even smoother! Some premium services and products have limited capacity and are dated, so it's best to book them before your visit (especially the thatched huts and sunbeds).
Does the parking lot have electric charging stations?
Unfortunately, the Monteux community parking lot does not yet have charging stations for electric cars.
Do we need to print our tickets to visit the park?
You don't need to print your tickets! You can present your tickets (a confirmation email alone will not be valid) directly from your smartphone with 100% brightness, screen rotation off, and a screen that is not cracked or broken.

Water Attractions

What accessories are allowed in the water attractions?

Do the water attractions close earlier in the evening?
Attractions close 30 minutes before the park's official closing time.
Are there any restrictions on the water attractions?
Some attractions have minimum height requirements or even minimum or maximum weight limits. Find out more on the Attractions page: https://preprod.waveisland.fr/nos-attractions/
Are armbands mandatory for children?

Personal flotation devices are MANDATORY for:

  • Children under 1.20m tall
  • Children who cannot swim

Lifeguards reserve the right to remove a child from a pool if this instruction is not followed.

Ticketing

Is there a special rate for expectant mothers?
Expectant mothers do not have access to all attractions, which is why they benefit from a special rate upon presentation of proof of pregnancy at the park entrance!
What payment methods are accepted at the park?
At the entrance and throughout the park, we accept cash, credit cards, and ANCV holiday vouchers. Please note that the park does not have an ATM and we do not accept checks.

Is there a half-day rate?
There is no special rate for arriving late in the day. We offer a single daily rate, and the park is open until 6 PM or 7 PM according to our opening calendar!
Do you accept holiday vouchers (ANCV)?
Paper ANCV holiday vouchers are accepted! You can use them directly at the ticket booths, at the park reception, in our shops, and at our restaurants.

Dining

Can we have a picnic in the park?
Picnics are allowed in the Park, but only in the special zone near Tapahpié Lake! It's the perfect spot for a break, as picnicking elsewhere is not allowed. Feel free to bring plastic water bottles, but please leave any glass, sharp objects, or metal cutlery at home to keep our park safe and fun for everyone!
Are there places to eat in the park?
WAVE ISLAND offers plenty of delicious dining spots! From fast food and savory snacks to sweet treats and our sit-down restaurant…

Dress Code & Conduct

Can I smoke or vape in the park?
Smoking and vaping are ONLY allowed in designated smoking areas—just look for the signs! Everywhere else, the park remains a smoke-free zone for everyone to enjoy.
What should I wear to the park?
Get ready to dive in! Swimsuits and swim trunks (without underwear underneath) are the only outfits allowed for swimming. Long-sleeved lycra and UV-protective swim shirts or shorts (above the knee) are also welcome! To keep things family-friendly, full-body 'burkini' suits, G-strings, and topless swimming are not permitted. Feel free to wear water shoes and flip-flops between attractions after using the footbaths. While regular clothes aren't allowed in the water, you can rock your favorite T-shirts and shorts once you're out. Headscarves are only allowed if worn as a turban and must be removed for the attractions. Please note that religious attire is not permitted in the Park. For our little explorers under 1.20m, safety gear is a must-have in the pools!
